Chapter 4—Management and accountability

Overview

In conjunction with the financial statements chapter, this chapter addresses reporting requirements under the Public Service Act 1999 and the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 (FMA Act), including the Requirements for annual reports for departments, executive agencies and FMA Act bodies.

The agency’s management and accountability contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of Outcome 1:

An enhanced appreciation and understanding of the political and social heritage of Australia for members of the public, through activities including the conservation and upkeep of, and the provision of access to, Old Parliament House and the development of its collections, exhibitions and educational programs.

During 2009–10, all management and accountability responsibilities were met to a high degree.
